Earthquakes to Host New England Revolution on Saturday at Buck Shaw Stadium
SAN JOSE, Califonia. – The San Jose Earthquakes will face the New England Revolution in their sixth home match of the 2011 season at Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., on Saturday.
The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet-California (television), KDOW 1220 (English radio) and KZSF 1370 (Spanish radio).
In their last outing, the Earthquakes beat the Columbus Crew 3-0 at Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. San Jose tallied all three goals during a 12-minute stretch at the start of the second half. Chris Wondolowski struck first off a nice service from Ryan Johnson, Brandon McDonald notched the second by redirecting a Steven Lenhart header and Khari Stephenson rounded out the scoring with a 25-yard strike into the upper corner just minutes later. San Jose is No. 8 in the Western Conference with nine points from nine games. Meanwhile, the New England Revolution sits in fifth place in the Eastern Conference with 13 points in 10 games.
