San Francisco Giants Notes
Today marked only the second time the Giants have lost to the Rockies by a score of 1-0 here in San Francisco…the last time came on Sept. 12, 1998 at Candlestick Park, as Robb Nen allowed a run in the 9th inning and received the loss.

Pitching Notes

MATT CAIN: Marked the sixth time he has lost despite giving up just one run and was his fourth career 1-0 loss...his last 1-0 defeat came on May 22, 2010 at Oakland vs. Gio Gonzalez (courtesy Andy Baggarly, CSN BA).

•       Cain’s 116 pitches were the most he has thrown in a start since Sept. 19, 2012 vs. COL (116).
•       22 of his 28 (78.6%) first pitches were strikes.

Hitting Notes

The Giants went 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position today and are just 5-for-35 (.143) with RISP in their last four games.

ANGEL PAGAN: Went 0-for-4 and had his 10 game hitting streak snapped.

MICHAEL MORSE: Went 0-for-4 and had his nine game hitting streak snapped.
