Club América y Monarcas Morelia Anuncian el Calendario de los Entrenamientos en San Jose



Los clubes de Liga MX entrenarán en San Jose previo al partido en Avaya Stadium el domingo, 26 de marzo
SAN JOSE, Calif. - Club América y Monarcas Morelia de Liga MX entrenarán en el Earthquakes Training Facility el sábado, 25 de marzo en anticipación para el partido el día siguiente, el domingo 26 de marzo, en Avaya Stadium. Los primeros 15 minutos estarán abiertos a los medios.

Se distribuirán las acreditaciones de prensa en el Avaya Stadium a partir de las 2 p.m. el domingo, 26 de marzo en la mesa de Media Will Call, ubicada a la derecha de la puerta principal del estadio. Todos los miembros de la prensa acreditados por los San Jose Earthquakes pueden usar dicha acreditación para el partido entre Club América y Monarcas Morelia.

iesta Futbolera que tomará lugar a partir de la 1 p.m. y tendrá el trofeo de campeón del Torneo Clausura 2005, la mascota oficial de Club América Agui, el jugador legendario de Club America Germán Villa, música en vivo, comida tradicional y activaciones interactivas con los patrocinadores. 

No se permitirá a los aficionados ingresar al estadio con bolsos ni mochilas por precauciones de seguridad.

U.S. Soccer to Host Exciting Series of Fan Activities in San Jose as USMNT Seeks to #Get3 Against Honduras




FanHQ to Take Place at Official Hotel, San Pedro Square Market, and Stadium

SAN JOSE, Calif. - U.S. Soccer is planning an exciting series of activities to energize fans and display the passion for the sport of soccer in San Jose as the U.S. Men's National Team is set to take on Honduras, presented by Volpi Foods, on March 24 at Avaya Stadium.
The crucial Final Round FIFA World Cup Qualifier will kick off at 7:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast live on FS1, Univision and UDN. Fans can also follow the game live on Facebook and Twitter at @ussoccer and @ussoccer_esp.
U.S. Soccer's Fan HQ will take place in three different locations leading up to the match, providing unique gathering spots for fans to connect: AC Hotel San Jose Downtown - Marriott, San Pedro Square Market and Avaya Stadium.

Fans can also purchase official U.S. Soccer merchandise at three notable locations in the days leading up to the match and at the stadium on game day. The main location will be the official U.S. Soccer Store at San Pedro Square Market, which will be open from Wednesday, March 22 to Saturday, March 25. A U.S. Soccer Store location will also be open in the FanHQ hotel lobby from Thursday, March 24 to Saturday, March 25.

On Thursday, March 23, U.S. Soccer will continue the tradition of hosting a FanHQ event the night before the match. The event will take place at San Pedro Square Market providing fans with music, food & beverages, official merchandise for purchase and special guest appearances.

On game day, FanHQ is the place to be at Avaya Stadium. Open four hours before kickoff, the event will be in the VIP Overflow Lot G located across from the stadium and will feature interactive activities hosted by various partners, including Continental Tires, Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, POWERADE, and many others. U.S. Soccer tents will also feature official merchandise for purchase, an oversized player cutout exhibit, a game truck with EA Sports FIFA 17, and live music by DJ Step.

GAME DAY TRANSPORTATION On match day, the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority will offer one-way and/or round-trip bus transportation from downtown San Jose to Avaya Stadium.

MNT PLAYER SCAVENGER HUNT Life-sized cutouts of U.S. MNT players will be placed throughout San Jose from Thursday, March 23 to Sunday, March 25. Fans are encouraged to locate all seven players and upload photos using the hashtag #FindtheMNT.

COMMUNITY CARE - LOCAL SOCCER EQUIPMENT DRIVE U.S. Soccer, in cooperation with the United Heroes League and the Quakes Foundation, will host a soccer equipment drive for children of military families in the Bay Area leading up to the USA-Honduras match.
Collection bins will be placed at the U.S. Soccer Store location at San Pedro Square Market from March 22-24 and at Avaya Stadium on match day. After the game, donated items will be sent to Moffett Field military base for distribution. Fans are encouraged to donate new or gently used soccer balls, cleats, shin guards, goalie gloves, and other soccer equipment.

Earthquakes Forward Chris Wondolowski Added to USMNT Roster for World Cup Qualifiers




USA vs. Honduras to play at Avaya Stadium on March 24

SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose Earthquakes forward Chris Wondolowski has been added to the United States Men's National Team roster for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The USMNT will take on Honduras at Avaya Stadium in San Jose on March 24 (7:30 p.m.) before traveling to Panama City to take on Panama on March 28 (7 p.m.).

Wondolowski, 34, is one of the most productive strikers in Major League Soccer history. Among all players to feature in MLS, Wondolowski ranks third in game-winning goals (38), tied for third in hat tricks (4), fourth in total goals (122) and ninth in shots (703) and shots on goal (310).

Wondolowski has made 35 prior appearances for the United States, scoring 11 goals.
