SAN FRANCISCO, CA --The World Champion San Francisco Giants, who will open their 131st National League campaign, have set their 2013 Opening Day roster with the following moves, club Senior Vice President and General Manager Brian Sabean announced tonight:

• Purchased the contract of catcher Guillermo Quiroz.

• Reassigned outfielder Cole Gillespie to triple-A Fresno.

• Left-handed pitcher Eric Surkamp (left elbow surgery), IF’s Brett Pill (right knee surgery) and Tony Abreu (left knee strain) all placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 22.
