Giants Make 4 Roster Moves Prior to Today’s Game Phoenix, AZ – Prior to today’s contest, the San Francisco Giants have made the following roster moves: LHP Jeremy Affedlt has been activated from the 15-day disabled list (right knee sprain), LHP Travis Blackley has been designated for assignment, IF Conor Gillaspie has been optioned to triple-A Fresno and IF Charlie Culberson has been recalled from triple-A Fresno. IF Charlie Culberson will be looking to make his Major League debut as he was batting .284 (40-for-141) with 11 doubles, two triples, five home runs and 24 RBI in 36 games all at second base with triple-A Fresno this season. Culberson, 23-years-old, shared the team lead with 24 RBI as his 11 doubles were second-most on the club. The 6-1, 200 pound middle infielder was batting primarily from the fifth spot in the Grizzlies’ lineup as he was hitting .276 (8-for-29) with runners in scoring position and 2 outs. Culberson, who was a sandwich pick in the 2007 First-Year Player Draft, will wear number 33.
